I don't think you can substitute baker's yeast for brewer's yeast. Baker's yeast has leavening agents in it and will make the cookies rise more than they should. They call for brewer's yeast because of the nutritional value.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3112549216756344228.post-25779916642433886742011-04-12T11:51:38.066-05:002011-04-12T11:51:38.066-05:00Hmmmm, tempted to try to veganise this. I am in the midst of my first bout with mastitis currently and am painfully pumping away as I type. I am taking the antibiotics because I was told it would speed the process, but it seems to only be helping a little & is adversely affecting my milk supply in the process. I'm already more than 36 hours into the meds so I don't want to quit, but if my milk supply keeps being so low I may have too. Nursing through has been harder since my poor five month old gets upset just minutes in because she's not getting much and pumping takes forever. I hadn't heard of the "cow" position, but if it will help I'm trying it! I so related to your post, especially your response to possibly being thought to be melodramatic. I laughed out loud! I have a number of friends with no kids yet. They just can't relate at all and I'm temped to send them this link ;) I only have one other child (3 yrs) so I can't imagine how it was for you with 4! Way to soldier on and again thank you so much for sharing!!Courtneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11576755654327270199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3112549216756344228.post-26649249946626367362011-02-27T15:47:01.502-06:002011-02-27T15:47:01.502-06:00Would this work the same with gluten free flour?Would this work the same with gluten free flour?d.o.wifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02148834825907533349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3112549216756344228.post-59995970970555876372011-02-07T23:41:40.859-06:002011-02-07T23:41:40.859-06:00hahahahaha!!!!hahahahaha!!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3112549216756344228.post-61142297210375550432011-01-22T21:17:22.124-06:002011-01-22T21:17:22.124-06:00beautiful!!!!!beautiful!!!!!A Leoa Vigilantehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15504537121928014953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3112549216756344228.post-56404101566418984142011-01-22T21:16:12.733-06:002011-01-22T21:16:12.733-06:00Really beautiful ;-)Really beautiful ;-)A Leoa Vigilantehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15504537121928014953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3112549216756344228.post-45674778289617689532011-01-22T03:16:49.903-06:002011-01-22T03:16:49.903-06:00It does appear that the reason why Facebook took d...It does appear that the reason why Facebook took down those pictures of "breasts" is because no one is going to make money off them. It is only in sharing and caring cultures that breasts are regarded as being for feeding babies, not as objects for sexual gratification.

In the early sixties, in the Scandinavian countries, nude sunbathing in the public parks, beaches was quite common and did not invite lecherous local males to peer lasciviously. Bali, Pacific Island cultures, to this day has cultures where breast feeding does not invite comments of a negative nature.

The female body is used in most Western cultures to sell goods. That is why nudity has to be linked with the selling of goods to be permitted. Sad really, and this has very deleterious effects for women generally.
RaynerRaynerhttp://raynergarner.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3112549216756344228.post-7921499603119824592011-01-17T17:35:17.177-06:002011-01-17T17:35:17.177-06:00These are actually really delicious.. unfortunatel...These are actually really delicious.. unfortunately there are no grocery stores in my area that carry Brewer's yeast so I went ahead and used baker's yeast. And also thru in some finely grated Fenugreek, Nettle and Fennel. Still taste very good! Careful how much you dip out because these things get huge. I placed small dollops and ended up with a giant sheet of cookie.. lol. This recipe definiately makes a lot. Hubby said they are good but he cant get past the maple syrup taste from the fenugreek (which I do not taste..) Next batch I will try to find Brewer's Yeast and decrease the sugar. Overall very good. The more and more I eat the more they taste like fresh chocolate chip cookies.HighTinkerMamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11769398521262967842noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3112549216756344228.post-19315791063727472492011-01-10T06:23:04.830-06:002011-01-10T06:23:04.830-06:00There are post-breast feeding b@@bs and then there...There are post-breast feeding b@@bs and then there are pre-breastfeeding little girl handfuls. So, I wrote the following and posted on my Facebook status:

Facebook removed an incredibly supportive place for breastfeeding women to ask questions, seek advice, connect and celebrate, deciding that pictures of a mother breastfeeding a child is inappropriate. That page had over 16,000 members and all because Facebook says it’s obscene. Copy and paste this message to your status for ONE HOUR to support breastfeeding mothers everywhere.

Good luck and here's hoping the page is reinstated. Sincerely, TimCanadienAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3112549216756344228.post-17475274673394520602011-01-05T14:21:05.405-06:002011-01-05T14:21:05.405-06:00"Most states laws that state NIP is perfectly..."Most states laws that state NIP is perfectly legal, they still stress that the public indecency laws still apply."

Actually, the opposite is true. In the vast majority of states, breastfeeding laws specifically state that the exposure of breast and/or nipple incidental to breastfeeding is NOT obscene and does not fall under the purview of any obscenity or indecency law. Which is exactly as it should be.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3112549216756344228.post-28895925136621138802011-01-05T07:40:43.335-06:002011-01-05T07:40:43.335-06:00Hi there, you have my full support as ever, here i...Hi there, you have my full support as ever, here is my blog about it:
http://diaryofanunconsciousmother.blogspot.com/2011/01/support-disabled.html

I cannot get on FB because I have been shut down too :-(

Love

MiriamDiary Of An Unconscious Motherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13319418516678161786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3112549216756344228.post-51860194156635911002011-01-04T17:15:13.397-06:002011-01-04T17:15:13.397-06:00Hi!
